About the role
The Growth Operations Manager (GOM) role is designed for individuals who want to build, not just operate. As a Growth Operations Manager, you’ll work alongside WAY’s leadership to validate new opportunities, scale early-stage businesses, and take ownership of high-impact projects.
This role is a structured path toward becoming a founding partner, CEO or CxO within the WAY ecosystem. You’ll learn by doing, with exposure to investment decisions, customer development, team building, and market execution.
What you’ll do
Collaborate with WAY partners to shape, validate, and refine new business concepts with a path to future leadership
Lead customer truth conversations to uncover unmet needs and validate business hypotheses
Support existing WAY companies by owning projects across growth, operations, and strategy
Contribute to internal WAY initiatives — bringing fresh insights and strong execution to platform-level projects
Build and nurture a strong network of high-potential talent and long-term referrers
Continuously explore and integrate AI tools to enhance execution, decision-making, and innovation
Take calculated risks, experiment fast, and share learnings to push the pace of progress
Own communication and collaboration across stakeholders, ensuring alignment and accountability
The skills we look for in Growth Operations Managers include:
3+ years of experience in operations, strategy, business development, or consulting (ideally with exposure to tech or tech-enabled businesses).
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional projects and drive measurable results.
Strong analytical and communication skills; able to distil complexity and influence stakeholders.
Native-level Japanese and business-level English.
