About the role

WAY is a company builder focused on scaling technology-enabled businesses in Japan, including through our roll-up strategy of acquiring and consolidating tech and tech-enabled companies.

As Executive Assistant, you’ll support the leadership team by managing scheduling, operations, investor and partner coordination, internal projects, and external communications. You’ll be a trusted point of contact, a gatekeeper, and a proactive partner in keeping our priorities moving.

You’ll work closely with the CEO and other senior leaders to ensure seamless execution across our core business activities.

What you will do

  • Manage complex calendars, scheduling, and meeting preparation across internal and external stakeholders

  • Coordinate logistics for travel, events, board meetings, and investor engagements

  • Support with note-taking, action tracking, and communication follow-ups across projects

  • Prepare and review documents, presentations, and correspondence with high attention to detail

  • Serve as liaison with external partners, investors, and advisors

  • Help streamline internal operations, improve workflows, and identify ways to increase leverage across the team

  • Handle confidential information with discretion and sound judgment

  • At times, act as a personal assistant to the CEO and his family

Who we’re looking for

  • 3+ years of experience supporting senior executives in a fast-paced environment (startup, VC, PE, or tech is a plus)

  • Exceptionally strong organisational, communication, and coordination skills

  • Native in Japanese and business-level English

  • Comfortable juggling multiple priorities and working independently with minimal oversight

  • High integrity, reliability, and discretion when handling sensitive matters

  • A team-first mindset with a commitment to doing what it takes to help the organisation succeed
